Woman Breastfeeds Cat On Flight, Leaves Staff And Passengers Horrified

A woman traveling on a Delta Airlines flight left the cabin crew and other passengers shocked when she allegedly breastfed her pet cat on the plane and refused to stop when asked by a flight attendant.

The bizarre incident was said to have taken place on a recent Delta Flight 1360 from Syracuse, New York, to Atlanta, Georgia.

The tale of the purportedly unhinged feline lover became public knowledge after a screenshot went viral on social media, showing a message that was transmitted by a Delta crew member to colleagues on the ground in Atlanta, summoning assistance.

According to the message, which was sent through the Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS) and was first reported on by Newsweek, a passenger in seat 13A ‘is breastfeeding a cat and will not put the cat back in its carrier when [flight attendant] requested.’

Flight attendant Ainsley Elizabeth posted more details to TikTok on November 13.

‘This woman had one of those, like, hairless cats swaddled up in a blanket so it looked like a baby,’  she recounted. ‘Her shirt was up and she was trying to get the cat to latch and she wouldn’t put the cat back in the carrier. And the cat was screaming for its life.’

It is unclear what happened to the ‘cat mom’ after the plane touched down in Atlanta, but Elizabeth claimed in a November 2 TikTok video that security had to get involved.

The Delta employee who sent the message in the course of the two-hour flight requested that Delta’s Red Coat team meet the uncooperative pet owner on the ground upon landing.

The airline’s website describes its Red Coats as ‘elite airport customer service experts, identifiable by their bright red coats. They are specially trained to handle on-the-stop customer issues.’
